GLASSeco's roots are in the recycling industry. Long before people began talking about "carbon footprints", the directors of GLASSeco were developing a way of taking glass and plastics out of the waste-stream. Due to technical advances over the last six years, we are now able to incorporate these materials into our worktops and achieve the highest standard expected by modern consumers.

As far as we are aware, GLASSeco is the only work-surface made from 95% recycled materials. In addition, GLASSeco is manufactured using very little electricity in an eco factory where water and solvents are both recycled so it is a very low energy embodied product. This gives GLASSeco a huge green advantage over any other product in the marketplace.

We are now managed by Bill Bradley of Talisman, Bill is a master craftsman and talented designer. This complementary combination - uniting sustainability with style - gives GLASSeco a unique position in the emerging ECO CHIC marketplace. Ethical awareness:
Other companies claim to use recycled materials where available. We will only use recycled products bound in solvent-free resins or recycled content cement.

We source and process all materials ourselves to ensure their recycled status. When not available we find trustworthy recycled alternatives.

We call our recyled glass/resin mix GLASSeco. The pictures on the right show some of the many uses for GLASSeco - plus there are more ideas and pictures to view by clicking on the WORK tab at the top of this page. GLASSeco is a fantastic new product made from empty beer/wine bottles that would otherwise have been sent to a landfill site. A fantastic new material created from waste. How cool is that!

Design:
GLASSeco can be made in 1000s of colours and customised in 100s of ways. To simplify life, we offer a range of popular colours. If you can choose your favourite from our favourites range you will benefit from our basic price range. Of course, if you want something different we can make it as a "special" for you. Just us send us the details of your job and a sample to colour-match, a swatch of fabric; a painted stick or picture from a magazine will do.

Service:
To keep our prices realistic we ask you to measure your worktop or send us a drawing so we can let you have an initial quote. Please remember to let us know if you require polished edges, cut-outs for sinks, taps, hobs or drainer grooves. Your builder - or a competent DIYer - will be able to fit the worktop. Simply screw into the sub-strata recycled plastic board in the base or, if you prefer, we can can quote for our fitters to install them on your behalf.
